Your video downloaded. Where did it go?
Understand the difference between a prepared file, a browser download and a video appearing in your gallery.
Ready does not mean saved
A ready message means the server has prepared a file. You still need to select Download file and let your browser finish transferring it.
If you leave the page before starting the transfer, there may be no video on your device. Return to the request while it is available and use the download link.
Check the browser first
Open the browser’s download list and look for the most recent file. It can show whether the transfer completed, failed or is still running.
If the download is incomplete, check your connection and available storage. Do not assume that seeing a filename means the entire file has been saved.
Look in your device’s file manager
The final location depends on your device and browser settings. Look in the Files app, a Downloads folder or the location you selected when saving.
Sort files by their modified date if you cannot remember the filename. Once you find the video, open it to check that it plays before moving or renaming it.
Why it might not appear in the gallery
A gallery app and a file manager do different jobs. A file can exist on the device without appearing immediately in the gallery.
Check the file itself first. A browser may save to a folder the gallery does not display, and playback support depends on the media format and the apps installed on your device.
Keep your files organised
After confirming that the video works, give your permitted copy a descriptive name and move it to a folder you can find again.
Keep original project files and important recordings in a separate backup location. A temporary download service should not be your only copy of important material.
